09/07/28 - BPM - JAZZ LIVE AT THE PUZZLE HALL INN

Tuesday, 28 July, 2009
The Puzzle Hall presents at about 20.45

BPM

Jez Platt, organ emulator, piano, vocals; John Boulton, drums; Rod Mason, saxes. Between them, Platt, Boulton,(aka Gene Velocette with Xero Slingsby & The Works), and Mason, have performed with artists as diverse as Dennis Rollins, Jim Mullen, Nightmares On Wax, Harry Beckett, Back Door and the Zappatistas. Separately, they have performed at venues from small clubs to 20,000-seater arenas, playing at many major festivals including Brecon, North Sea and Glastonbury, as well as making TV appearances, including "Later" with Jools Holland. While there are clear influences from the Hammond Organ groove tradition of artists such as "Brother" Jack McDuff, BPM take inspiration from the the moment and anything can happen from the first note played.
